San Giuliano has an
annual calender with many cultural, sport and musical events.

Very interesting events
to see in San Giuliano Terme are: the “Settembre Sangiulanese” in
September, the “Agrifiera” in Pontasserchio in April and the“Oil
Festival” in November.

•  "Settembre Sangiulianese"

The “Settembre Sangiulianese”, usually
begins at the end of August and ends at the beginning of October.
You can experience in San Giuliano Terme a period of incredible
plays, musicals, dancing performances etc, organised in this splendid
spa town.

Inside the Amphitheatre “Cava Nord Est”during
the “Settembre San Giulianese”you can experience concerts in a
huge variety of different styles and periods, which altogether to
revalue the most interesting places of the town, such as: gardens,
squares, avenues etc., which are the main places in summer.

The
programm is usually divided into three sections: the first section
includes plays with famous actresses of the italian theatre; the
second is based on music and traditional dance performances from
Europe and South America, including jazz concerts; the third is
dedicated to the local theatre and the music of the
territory.

Moreover, during the whole period, you can visit a variety
of art exhibitions of the territory which illustrate our traditions.

Book-shows are also organized.

• Agrifiera of Pontasserchio (April/May)

The classical day of the trade fair in Pontasserchio
is 28^th April; it can be defined as one of oldest events
of the Municipality.

During the past the town organized a market;
animal traders met in Piazza Mazzini with all kinds of animals and
from all the kitchens came the intense smell of the chocolate cake
“Torta co' Bischeri”.
In this traditional context, the town
Administration has introduced the “Agrifiera”: a trade fair,
specialized in agriculture, art and animal husbandry.

Since 1982 the
Agrifiera has taken place in the 19^th century park “Parco
della Pace ex-Mazzarosa”

The Agrifiera always takes place always from 24^th
April to 1^st May, by increasing its stands year after
year.

It is divided in different sections: plants and flowers, small
animals, wine and food, art and trade, agriculture machines, animal
husbandry; with expositions of cattle, sheep and horses.

Very
important are also the Meetings concerning agriculture, organic
products, the territory and the Pisan Mountains are also very
importantIn the last years the Agrifiera has extended the playing
areas for the children to develop their contact with the animals
thanks to the Italian Rangers.

Moreover thanks to the partnership
between San Giuliano Terme and its twin Bad Toelz, you can find
typical bavarian products such as beer, schnapps and cold meats.In
this period the centre of Pontasserchio celebrates eight wanderful
days.

• The Festival of oil (November)

The Festival of Oil
takes place in the centre of San Giuliano, on the main square in
front of the Baths, during the last weekend of november; by visiting
this festival you can meet important Oil-producers who belong to the
Consortium of the oil route “Consorzio della Strada dell'Olio” of
the Pisan Mountains.

The Oil produced in the Pisan Mountains, is the
historical and actual basis of the dishes which you can find on the
families tables and local catering. During the three festival days,
the restaurants of San Giuliano Terme offer special and fine menus
based on the Oil of the Pisan Mountain.

Moreover: concerts, shows and
tastings of local products have the goal of conservation, promotion
and valorisation of the territory' s resources.

• Football Competition “Coppa Carnevale”
  (January/February)

The Stadium Giovanni Bui of San Giuliano Terme
hosts during the carnival the “Viareggio- Cup-World Football
Tournament -Coppa Carnevale" which includes 40 teams from all
over the world.
