San
Rossore Park
The park is
located in a low-lying area of the central-northern coast of Tuscany,
between the provinces of Pisa and Lucca, it has an extension of about

The beach
The coast of San Rossore and the Mid-North presents botanical species typical of the Italian coast, in this environment you can find many varieties of birds including a number of species of ducks and some species of gull.

The Blades
The “blades” in the southern most part of the estate, are “Le Lame”: this is an area where the coverage exclusively herbaceous and shrub coverage allows for good views of the woods and, on the horizon, the natural frame of the Apuan Alps. This area, located on the shore of the sea, is subject to seasonal flooding and for this reason in autumn, winter and spring, thousands of waterfowl arrive. It is possible to visit the Lame where you can also find ornithological observatories.
Forests
Walking in the woods you can hear the birds singing, you can see the great spotted woodpecker and the green woodpecker, and you can meet wild boar and deer.
Racecourse of San Rossore

Activities
The activities that the park offers each year to schools and visitors are numerous and there are a wide range of projects, ranging from a simple visit with expert environment guides to half day or full day excursions.
